Julie & Julia

Just got done watching the movie Julie and Julia with my mother. We had ordered it on demand channel where it only costs about $4 and you get the movie on the TV for the next day or so. It's quite nice to just order a movie on your TV when it comes out on demand.
Watching Julie and Julia though was nice to watch. I've always been fascinated by cooking shows, which is why I watch the food channel here and there. The movie itself if you have not seen the previews is about Julie, a woman who works for the government in some way. I can't remember what her job was again, but it honestly wasn't really a good one. Or at least that's what I thought. I looked over to my mother and told her, "I would never want to have a job like that. It seems sad and depressing."
Anyways, back to Julie. Julie is a woman who works during the day and lives with her husband and cat. One day she decides, with the help of her husband, that she wants to go through Julia Child's cookbook (All 520 something recipes) in 365 days. So pretty much in a year she wants to make every single recipe and blog about it.

The movie itself goes back and forth between Julie Powell and Julia Child. Julie's story it shows what she went through trying to complete her goal of going through Julia Child's book and blogging about it. While Julia Child, it shows her life and how she started off cooking and getting to where she published her book.
The movie is actually based off a true story I found out after my parents told me when I asked. I think you people who like cooking and a kind of girly story along with it would like this movie. I recommend it because I myself liked it.

After watching this movie, I thought to myself that I wanted to do something like Julie Powell did. To blog about how she was going to complete a goal she put out to do. I'm not exactly sure what my goal could be. I love drawing so maybe that could be one of my goals I could blog about.

I was looking at artists on the artist website I'm signed up for called Deviantart. Some of the artists I watch on the site have posted recently, meme's where it shows their works from the year 2003 to 2009. They started out like I did where I'm honestly not that good but as the years progressed, they incredibly got better. I would love to be like that one day but it will take time.
I have to be dedicated and draw a lot more than I usually do, but somehow I just lose motivation after a while, but I can't let that happen this year. I must be strong.

I hope everyone else is able to accomplish their goals they've set out to do for the next year or couple years. Kind of like how people make resolutions. Obviously you know what one of mine are and that is to become better at drawing, even if it's only by a little.
Maybe later I shall post about my other resolutions I have, but for now this is all.

Happy New Year!

I know I haven't posted on my blog in a long long time but I sort of completely forgot about it for a while there but with this upcoming new year, it will be like a fresh start. I'm hoping to post here a lot more with either drawings or even pictures I take with my camera. I'm hoping this year I shall become more productive and draw a lot more, especially in photoshop. I need to practice practice practice!
Well I hope everyone has fun celebrating the New Year. Until my next post, bye bye. C:
